Janice Bryant Howroyd – affectionately known as JBH – is an entrepreneur, educator, author, mentor, Presidential special appointee, and Founder of the ActOne Group. As the leader of a multi-billion dollar, award-winning, international workforce management, and technology enterprise, JBH is passionate about education and what we all can accomplish when we invest in each other. Born in North Carolina, JBH is one of 11 children and credits her parents for instilling in her the strong values that fueled her success.

Today, ActOne Group is a multi-billion enterprise and operates in over 47 countries. The company is a tech aggregator of various companies’ offerings, while utilizing its own technologies that speak over 50 languages. As an innovator of agentic business solutions, offered through its product Aria Agentic, the company provides clients a full service of human resource and procurement solutions.

As recent past Chair of the Women’s Leadership Board housed out of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and current co-founder of BH2STREAM (a charter school in her hometown of Tarboro, NC), JBH actively supports educational initiatives across the USA and the UK. Through her own time, as well as donations of millions of dollars that include the University of Southern California and her alma mater - North Carolina A&T State University - JBH is a respected influencer with followers across the globe. She has received prestigious accolades that include Black Enterprise’s Woman of the Year award and the Pioneer Award for HBCU Honors, broadcast on the BET Network. JBH has served on various presidential committees and is an advocate for digital empowerment. She was honored with the prestigious Ellis Island Honor, alongside other globally distinguished and acclaimed notables.

JBH shares her wisdom through her Amazon best-selling books Acting Up and The Art of Work, and her podcast ‘Ask JBH’. She lives by a mantra of Faith, Family, Fortune - in that order. As a renowned Mainstage speaker, she emphasizes the importance of integrity and professional excellence. Her personal motto is now world quoted: “Never compromise who you are personally to become who you wish to be professionally”.
